Sound art is an artistic discipline in which sound is utilized as a primary medium. Like many genres of contemporary art, sound art may be interdisciplinary in nature, or be used in hybrid forms.

Quiz 1
Installation Art, Nature Art, Naive Art (Drawing) and Collage
1. How can an installation art piece be used to teach an academic subject?
Installation art can be used in a lesson by showing students there can be many different parts to a solution and they may not all look the same but when they come together they form something cohesive. I think this would be applicable to a government or history class.
2. Why is nature's art a valid way of bringing attention to ecology?
It is valid because it shows how beautiful nature can be and is a reminder that we are not the only ones on this planet.
3. Drawing enhances learning of language arts. Explain
In my experience drawing opens your mind. I started an art minor half way through college with minimum art experience prior. It showed me that there are many solutions and ways to go about things. Most times situations don’t have one answer. Life is fluid and sometimes we get stuck in a corner searching for the end all be all. Art opens the mind to creativity and thinking outside the box so my guess would be that art enhances language arts drastically by opening the mind to creativity and ideas.
4. A collage develops several skills while allowing children to be creative. Explain.
A collage requires children to be
attentive to the work since its composition is ever changing but also
gives them a lot of artistic freedom. It allows them to grow confidence
in expressing themselves and shows them not everything comes from an
instruction book.
